SMELA concludes sales partnership with EVG
With our innovative linear actuators, EVG is expanding its product portfolio to include active components for the first time

The demands on the design of industrial systems have continued to rise in recent years. Aspects of efficiency, both in terms of dimensions and the energy consumption of individual components, now enjoy the same importance as more general issues of economy or reliability. Against this background, designs based on pneumatic cylinders are increasingly being called into question in countless applications for short linear positioning processes. The necessary use of compressed air requires an extensive infrastructure with high maintenance requirements and is also difficult to justify in terms of energy consumption. Telescopic linear actuators present themselves here as a modern and more than adequate replacement. The linear actuators of the liteECO® series from SMELA replace pneumatic cylinders in favoured applications with simple plug & play, thanks to the flange dimensions of common pneumatic compact cylinders based on ISO 15552. In a direct comparison, they impress with more than 75 % lower energy consumption compared to pneumatic solutions, while at the same time saving 80 % space compared to electromechanical solutions available on the market.

With electromechanical components, EVG Elektro-Vertriebs-Gesellschaft Martens GmbH & Co. KG has been supporting industrial companies from all sectors in the realisation of individual, demanding projects for more than 50 years. The focus here is on connection technology, which has been the expertise of the North Rhine-Westphalian company since the early days of the company's history in the form of plug connections. With the continuous expansion of its product portfolio, the family-owned company has developed into a solution provider with more than 60,000 products and a large number of customised variants, offering the highest quality in a wide range of application scenarios. EVG relies on innovative, experienced and reliable partners whose products it represents as a sales company. With the Magdeburg-based SMELA GmbH, which was founded in 2020 and has won several awards as an innovative start-up, EVG is not only expanding its circle of partners, but also adding active components to its portfolio for the first time.

„We are convinced that we are breaking new ground with liteECO® and SMELA," explains Thomas Schatten, Sales Manager at EVG Elektro-Vertriebs-Gesellschaft Martens GmbH & Co. KG. "Together with our tried-and-tested products, we are supporting our customers in their projects by further increasing the range of components from a reliable source."
