With the third generation of the liteECO® INTEGRATED series, SMELA GmbH is not only expanding its product portfolio but is once again bringing innovative solutions to the market that combine maximum performance with minimal space requirements. These actuators set new standards as compact electromechanical alternatives to short-stroke pneumatic cylinders – making them ideal for applications in production lines, machine tools and packaging systems.
Like the BASE series, the INTEGRATED series impresses with its innovative and patented arrangement of motor and mechanics. An integrated drive controller with different control options makes the INTEGRATED series the ideal solution for decentralised applications. The flexible interface architecture enables easy integration into a wide variety of control environments whilst also increasing scalability in the field. The clever design enables significant space savings: the actuator is up to 80 per cent more compact than conventional electric solutions. Thanks to the highly efficient servo motors with integrated position sensors, both simple and complex motion profiles can be implemented with precision – whether for fixing, adjusting, locking or executing any sequence of movements.
A key advantage of the liteECO® series is its exceptional energy efficiency: the servo motors often reduce energy consumption by more than 90 % compared with pneumatic systems. As a result, the new actuators are not only significantly more cost-effective to operate, but also make a tangible contribution to resource conservation and environmental friendliness.
Furthermore, the series are consistently designed for durability and ease of maintenance. The straight forward refurbishment process – the targeted replacement of mechanically worn components – significantly extends the service life of the drives. This results in solutions that are both sustainable and economically attractive.
The integrated drive controller, which operates on 24 V DC, offers flexible control options via EtherCAT or simple digital I/Os. The drives are sealed to IP65 and fitted with conventional M12 circular connectors in the A, L and Y configurations. The maximum stroke is 150 mm, with precise positioning guaranteed across the entire stroke length.
Conclusion: Once again, minimal space requirements with minimal energy losses but maximum performance!
The compact electric alternative to pneumatic systems. Also available as an all-in-one solution with an integrated drive controller.
